I was born in Istanbul and lived there until I was sixteen. I was studying classical guitar at the State Conservatory when I got a scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy. Two unforgettable years there led me to Eastman School of Music, where I studied classical guitar performance. After graduating, I moved to New York City, and that’s when everything began to take root.  

From 2003 to 2009, I gigged regularly, met incredible collaborators, and learned to call this city home. New York has become my ever-evolving school.  Later, I felt called to reconnect with my roots and spent several years in Istanbul, releasing a single in Turkish, acting in TV and film, with ongoing training through workshops and private coaching, and discovering voiceover work, which soon became a regular part of my life. I also began adapting and music-directing live shows, including the Sesame Street and Smurfs musicals in Turkish. I’ve been back in New York since late 2014, continuing voiceover work as a SAG actor and spend my days in music, collaboration, and creative expression.  

I’m  a longtime yoga and meditation practitioner. I try to walk as gently as I can through this wild, reactive world, returning, again and again, to awareness and equanimity.
